The Thomas Crown Affair
The Thomas Crown Affair is a mental battle between Catherine Banning (Renee Russo), an insurance investigator whose job is to find a stolen painting and Thomas Crown (Pierce Brosnan) who is a bored millionaire who steals paintings for fun. They begin a seductive game of cat and mouse, falling madly in love along the way, but Catherine is plagued with doubts over her playboy-thief lover and questions his honesty and fidelity. A high-powered executive Lucy Hill (Renée Zellweger) is the stereotypical, ambitious, up and coming business woman who loves living in Miami with her beachside apartment, all the mod cons and great weather. She reluctantly takes an assignment in a tiny Minnesota town in sub zero conditions to further her career, not knowing that her life will be affected by the generosity of the townspeople and it will be a life changing experience. Despite her best intentions, Lucy is moved by the stories of the people living in Minnesota, discovers greater meaning in her life and most unexpectedly, the man of her dreams Ted Mitchell (Harry Connick Jr).
